Custom Stationery Contract

Proofing
It is the client’s responsibility to carefully review proofs for any error. That includes spelling, layout, website, URLs, phone numbers, directions, etc. Each order includes 3 rounds of revisions per item. If the client desires further changes, additional payment may be required. Once the client gives final approval, any errors are corrected at their expense. Although I do my best to make proofs appear realistic, the client understands that a proof on screen may appear different than what is seen in person.
Pricing
A quote is provided up front, but all prices are subject to change based on final design selections. Pricing changes may be affected by an increase or decrease in supplier, service and/or production costs. Shipping and/or postage may not be included. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
Deposit
The deposit for each project is 50% of the entire order. The deposit is due at the time of the client’s order. Design will not begin without the deposit. The deposit will be applied to the total amount due for the order. The remaining balance must be paid in full before sending to print.
Timeline
The client will be provided a schedule at the beginning of each project that outlines when proofs will be sent, amount of time for edits, and when final approval is required to meet the deadline. Kathryn Rae Design will strive to work within this timeline, but deadlines or the mail date may be compromised if any of the proposed dates are missed by the client.
Rush Orders
Orders may be considered rush if they are needed within a 5 week turnaround. Rush orders are accepted depending on availability and the requirements of the project. Rush orders will add a charge of 15% to your order total.
Delivery
All shipping and postage will be assumed by the client. Kathryn Rae Design will do everything possible to ensure safe mailing, but is ultimately not responsible for USPS/Fedex/UPS/etc. handling. While Kathryn Rae Design handles full invitation assembly, mailing is not offered. The client is responsible for picking up invitations and mailing. When invitations are shipped to a client for mailing, extra insurance is added and a signature required upon delivery.
Postage
Kathryn Rae Design will provide approximate postage cost for each wedding invitation, but additional postage may be required after the suite is printed and weighed. Kathryn Rae Design is not responsible for USPS changes in cost of mailing based on item weight or shape.
Copying & Design Property
All designs and concepts are property of Kathryn Rae Design. Kathryn Rae Design retains all rights to use the preliminary and completed designs for the purpose of display or for other clients. It is important that every piece of stationery I create is my own. While I love inspiration images, I can not create a copy of another design you may love. Thank you for understanding!
Returns & Cancellations
If there is ever a need to cancel your order, please contact me immediately. If your final approval has not been received and the project hasn’t gone into production, you are only responsible for your deposit and any materials that may have been purchased. If your project has gone into the production process, you are responsible for the entire amount as stated in your contract. Because of the personalization of custom stationery, orders are non-refundable, without exception. With that being said, I want you to love your stationery so if there is an error on my behalf, I will do my best to correct the problem!
